Weekend Question: EVE Hooks?

So it turns out that I work with some MMORPG players, several of which have long histories (back to the original Everquest). Of course, I want to convert them to the One True Game, but I need suggestions on what to show them besides that crummy Butterfly Effect video. That is, other articles, videos, etc. These people already understand the lure of virtual worlds, so I want them to see the beauty of the sandbox and the hardcore environment.

The Jim Rossignol RPS articles caught my eye, along with features on Massively. From there I progressed to Mynxee, Kirith, and Letrange’s blogs and got hooked! I was amazed at the depth and read about EVE for 6 months before jumping in!

Yeah, I agree–show them some selected blog posts that give a wide view of the game from players’ eyes and THEN some videos. Cuz to be honest, most videos are a poor substitute for what you really see in game graphics-wise. However, the Apocrypha and Empyrean Age trailers were pretty powerful.
