Scammers that DO need to die

Usually, when folks complain about scammers, I just respond with “pay more attention next time”, because hey, worst case, it’s all Internet spaceships and pixels & bits. And when people complain about fraudsters or other sorts of non-violent criminals that should die, I mostly chalk that up to hyperbole.

In this case, though, I agree with the statement:

CCP regards any scamming attempts surrounding this effort to be morally reprehensible and they will be met with swiftest action.

That’s because CCP is accepting PLEX donations to convert back to RL cash to help Haiti victims. Not just pixels, real people. And anyone scamming based on that (in EVE or anywhere else) needs to die.

Couldn't agree more. It is one thing to scam people who can recover from it, but a whole other thing to scam a charity for people who have nothing left. I also think this is a great initiative from CCP!
